Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots, Sunday at 6:30 p.m. EST, CBS

Once again, the Patriots and the Ravens are at it again for the AFC title game. Will Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco and the crew be able to hold off Brady and his bunch? Last year, the Patriots defeated the Ravens. In Week 3 of this year, the Ravens squeaked by. So this game is destined to be a close match up.

Here are some stats:
Totals yards per game: Ravens 352, Patriots 427
Passing yards per game: Ravens 233, Patriots 291
Rush yards per game: Ravens 118, Patriots 136
Points per game: Ravens 24, Patriots 34
Total yards per game allowed: Ravens 350, Patriots 373
Passing yards per game allowed: Ravens 228, Patriots 271
Rush yards per game allowed: Ravens 122, Patriots 101
Points per game allowed: Ravens 21, Patriots 20

Since the Patriots will be at home, they’ll have the crowd on their side which is always a benefit. They won’t have Gronkowski, but they’ll have Hernandez, plus Brady’s typical offensive guys, like Welker, Ridley and Woodhead. The Ravens however, will be doing their best to not let Ray Lewis retire just yet. Flacco has great playmakers like Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith.

So after you finish watching the 49ers and Falcons game, watch this one as this season has been anything but normal. If last week’s games were as close as they were, I can’t wait to see what this one and the NFC championship game has in store.

Championship weekend is upon us. Of course, it’s only Wednesday, but it’s never too early to prepare and get some knowledge under your belt before Sunday’s games.

San Francisco 49ers v. Atlanta Falcons, Sunday 3 p.m. EST on FOX
This will be a fun game to watch. With the 49ers QB really dazzling the crowd with his running abilities and some amazing passes, Colin Kaepernick and the crew will be a hard team to beat. But watch out, because the Falcon defense along with Matt Ryan and his arsenal of weapons will be prepared. The Falcons are on their home turf, so that has to help. Here are some comparisons:

Total yards per game: Niners 361, Falcons 369
Passing yards per game: Nines 206, Falcons 281
Rush yards per game: Niners 155, Falcons 87
Points per game: Niners 24, Falcons 26
Total yards per game allowed: Niners 294, Falcons 365

Points per game allowed: Niners 17, Falcons 18

This game has the potential to be close. It’s almost too difficult for me to call, but I’m going to say the 49ers will pull it off in overtime. I’m horrible at giving actual scores, so I’ll just say winner and loser. The young Kaepernick will take his team to the Super Bowl.

Also, if you didn’t see in our other social media sites, I read that Kaepernick has a 115-pound tortoise. Apparently, as the story goes, his parents feed this tortoise a piece of lettuce on game day with the opponents logo drawn in crayon. Perhaps this is why the 49ers are doing as well as they are.
